life to120 would be sweet if your wealthy/healthy but many may not want to more than 80 yrs.most young americans wont be able retire at 65(boomers used up social security)or even want to work like american(too much)for 80+years of life

telomere length seems to limit maximum human lifespan to 125 years old; but they are already working on ways (for instance, reactivating telomerase in somatic cells) to fix this; they are systematically literally cracking aging by the year;
life extension: soon available at your nearest pharmacy or hospital

Life expectancy increased in the last century largely due to sanitation — esp in hospitals. Doctors only learned to wash their hands before performing operations in the late 19th century. If we continue in cleaning the environment of pollutants and radiation — esp toxic chemicals like mecury — that would extend lifespans even more.
